You’ve probably heard of Michael’ shroud’ Grzesiek, a former professional Counter-Strike player turned streamer well-known for his insane highlights. His rose to streamer stardom wasn’t just based on skill or luck, as he actively made adjustments to increase his chances of success. We’ll break down some factors that contributed to his success in a mini-segment which we’ll call Streamer Branding Psychology.

Platforms: It’s no secret that marketing plays a big role in anything you do. How well you’ll appeal to your audience and how your audience is first exposed to your brand impacts their decision on whether they want to consume your content or not. Shroud is known as the ‘King Of Reddit’ for a good reason. His gameplay highlights of various titles like PUBG took his viewership to another level. His community actively promoted his content without him needing to put in the extra time in to push his content. This is a form of passive marketing and has a lot to do with brand positioning.
