Multi-streaming – Livestream to multiple platforms?
Now, it’s certainly not all sunshine and rainbows with multi-streaming (otherwise, everyone will be doing it). One downside to multi-streaming is that you’ll have to constantly keep track of all the platforms you’re streaming on to ensure you’re not neglecting your audience. In some scenarios, the source of your video may even come from a separate camera (like when you’re streaming to TikTok). You would likely need to have a separate device that streams to TikTok while your primary camera focuses on you. This can sometimes make it hard to juggle, as inexperienced creators often mistake completely forgetting about their other stream.
This, coupled with the fact that you’ll also have to be familiar with the platforms you’re streaming to, means that multi-streaming may not be recommended if you’re just getting started. However, if you’re up for a challenge, feel free to experiment with it. Multi-streaming can be a great way to reach a wider audience and help you build a community of your own.
